So, I'm taking a huge risk and packing up my bags and heading to South Korea for 12 months!! Some of you are thinking "What... where did this come from?!?" and others of you are like "figures!" I have an amazing opportunity to go over and teach ESL at the public schools. It is a program through Korea Nazarene University. Over the past few months I feel like God has been stoking a passion in me to teach. This is something that I have of course opposed for quite awhile in my life! Both of my sisters are teachers and I was bound and determined not to follow in their footsteps! God definitely has a sense of humor though and is able to break through my stubbornness... And I will be a teacher.
My tentative schedule is to start on June 1st. I have to be over there a week earlier for training, so I'll probably be taking off around May 20th... give or take a few days! So barring no glitches or hang ups I will be on my way in 10 short weeks!!
Just because I'm moving half way around the world, doesn't mean I want to lose communication! I want to continue to hear about each of you and I want to be able to keep you posted on what's going on in my life! I thought it's about time I join the rest of the world and begin blogging. So through this, I hope you can see my heart and experience my adventures along the way! AHHH!! This is Real!!
